Firepower is Out of This World!

We just finished a full shop job on this Firepower pinball machine. We added a few special touches to this game, which made this old standard even more fun than usual. Check it out!

Williams came out with Firepower in 1980 and produced more than 17,400 games. (IPDB)
Firepower was an incredibly popular game, and even spawned a sequel, the appropriately named Firepower II.
We gave this machine a full shop job, pulling everything off the playfield to be tumbled, polished, washed, or buffed.
We put it all back together and checked all the mechanics. We added a few extra touches, too, including Super Bands and translucent red and blue flippers.
We also installed Cointaker LEDs throughout. Look at that beautiful glow! Make sure to notice the ball lock saucers: We replaced the opaque saucers with translucent red ones that flash when the ball lock is lit!
One more really cool thing: We installed the prototype drop targets. The game originally was supposed to have targets like this, but that was changed to stationary targets to make them a bit more reliable on location. But the original targets are more fun. You can tell which ones you still have to hit a lot more easily!
Enjoy the game, Kayden & Olivia! We were happy to get it ready for you.
