The Crypt Keeper Approves Posted on December 30, 2015January 8, 2024 by Kris Bliznick We just finished a full shop job on this Tales From the Crypt pinball machine. Check it out! Data East came out with this game in 1993, and produced around 4,500 machines, according to the IPDB. Of course, it was modeled after the much-loved TV show, which ran from 1989 to 1996. The host with the most: The Crypt Keeper, seen here with a whole lot of celebrities who guest-starred on the show. How many can you spot? Start with Whoopi Goldberg on the middle right. We gave this game a full shop job, and it has LEDs throughout. This one had some special touches. Some were original, like the awesome door handle that doubles as the ball launch. Other touches came from an inventive previous owner, including this topper that pays homage to the original Tales From the Crypt. EC Comics published those in the ’50s. The previous owner also added this guy. You might recognize him as one of Michonne’s walkers from The Walking Dead. He seems right at home, doesn’t he? These flipper covers are nice too! And remember, “Shave and a hair cut, two bits! HAHAHAHAHA.”
