Scared Stiff is Stupendous!

We just finished a full shop job on this Scared Stiff pinball machine. This is a great game, with a fun theme, and awesome game play. And this is one of the nicest Scared Stiffs we’ve seen. It’s already sold, folks, but check it out!

The game came out a decade and a half after Cassandra Peterson made her big-screen debut as her most famous character, in Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. She’d been playing Elvira since the early ’80s on an L.A. TV station.

We gave ours a full shop job, pulling everything off the playfield, to be tumbled, polished, washed, buffed, or otherwise cleaned.

We added the cabinet protectors, and touched up just a few minors spots on the cabinet.

One of the best parts of this game: The mechanical backbox spinner. When your ball goes into a playfield trap, the spider spins around. Pressing the flipper button stops the spider, and the player receives the indicated award.

We installed full LEDs in this one, too: insert, GI, and flashers.

We put some custom touches on this one, too, with the color-coded LEDs, color-coded post rubbers, and more.
