Behold Grand Lizard!

We just finished work on this Grand Lizard pinball machine. This job was a long time coming because we restored the playfield and gave the cabinet some serious love too. It was totally worth it in the end, because this game turned out great! Check it out!

Williams came out with Grand Lizard in 1986, and produced around 2.750 games. (IPDB)

This game is actually really fun to play, but that shouldn’t be a surprise. It’s a System 11, the golden age of Williams.

We had tons of fun play-testing this game, but we also had a lot of fun making it nice. The powder-coated legs really made it pop.

We pulled the playfield, touched up the art in several spots, then clearcoated it for a great shine.
grand-lizard5
We installed LEDs throughout: insert, GI, and flashers.

We added some special touches, too, including Super Bands and color-coded post rubbers.

Here’s a great shot of the upper playfield, and the Lizard itself. The play up here is pretty fast!

The shine on this playfield was amazing, and it looked even better with all the LEDs aglow.

Enjoy the game, Mike! We’ll miss our Lizard.
