Classic KISS Playfield Swap Posted on May 27, 2015January 8, 2024 by Kris Bliznick We just finished a playfield swap on this KISS pinball machine. Combined with the work that had been done earlier, this is now a great-looking machine! Check it out! Bally came out with this game in 1978, and produced 17,000 machines. (IPDB) When the owner purchased this game, the cabinet had been repainted, but the playfield was worn. He started the playfield swap, then asked us to finish it. We finished transferring everything to the new playfield, cleaned up a couple of issues on the cabinet, and put in a new board too. We installed LEDs in the game as well. Counting the 1978 solo albums, Kiss has been awarded 28 gold albums to date, the most of any American rock band. (Wiki) The band’s face paint, stage antics, elaborate live performances, and, of course, music, have inspired a legion of fans, the KISS Army. The owner of this game is definitely a huge fan, if you couldn’t tell. The best touch on this game? This Gene Simmons shooter rod the owner picked up a few years ago. It’s the perfect finishing touch for a big KISS fan!
