Williams came out with Taxi in 1988 and produced around 7,300 of the games. (IPDB)
The title is most notable because the first games in production were made with a blonde ‘Marilyn’ taxi passenger, a likeness of Marilyn Monroe. This was changed during production to be a darker-haired ‘Lola’, ostensibly a likeness of a random passenger. (IPDB)
This Marilyn game is in amazing shape all around, from cabinet to playfield to plastics and topper.
We gave the game a full shop job, pulling everything off the playfield to be washed, tumbled, polished, buffed, or otherwise cleaned. We also replaced the two main ramps.
We installed Cointaker LEDs throughout for a beautiful glow.
We put some extra cool touches on the game too, including these LED pop bumper rings, color-coded post sleeves, and Super Bands.
Everything works 100% in this machine and it plays great, with a fun layout that novices and pros alike will find entertaining.
Check out that beautiful glow!
