The Five Stages of Sanding
Leslie’s been able to work in the shop a bit more often since Max started preschool. This week, she tackled an especially fun project — sanding down an entire pinball cabinet.

Here we are at the first stage of sanding: Eager enthusiasm. “Hey, this is going to be fun!”
Stage Two: Safety check. “Hey, this respirator isn’t too bad!”
Stage Three: We’ve only just begun. “Well, this could be worse. At least I remembered to take the safety off for this sanding selfie.”
Stage Four: Let’s take a break. “I think I need a shower. Or three.”
Stage Five: The next day. “Just some finishing touches and I’m done! What’s next, boss?”
