Stern came out with this game in 1979, and produced nearly 8,400 units. (IPDB)We gave this game a full shop job, pulling everything off the playfield to be polished, tumbled, washed, buffed, or otherwise cleaned.We installed LEDs as well. They brighten up the game, and last much longer than traditional bulbs.A few playfield touchups, some Super Bands, and voila! This Meteor rocks!One other interesting note: The backglass art was derived from one of the posters for the 1979 movie ‘Meteor,’ the pinball database reports. The original painting for the poster was by noted space artist Robert McCall. Maybe that’s why this game looks so cool!
