Time Machine is Out of This World

Shop Notes

We just finished a full shop job on this Time Machine pinball machine. It turned out great! Check it out!

Time Machine1

Data East came out with Time Machine in 1988, and produced nearly 2,900 machines. (IPDB)

Time Machine2

Time travel was a popular theme in the late ’80s, and this machine capitalized on it, with game play that allows you to go back to the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, or stay in the great ’80s.

Time Machine3

Also fun, the game emulates an EM machine when you reach 1950. Digital displays emulate score reels, and sound effects come from a real chime box in the cabinet.

Time Machine4

We installed full LEDs in this game, and it made a world of difference. This colorful playfield became even more beautiful with the new bulbs.

Time Machine5

We gave this game a full shop job, too, tearing everything off the playfield to be polished, tumbled, washed, buffed, or otherwise cleaned.

Time Machine6

New rings, new balls, a couple of playfield touchups, a little cabinet work, and this game looked great!

Time Machine7

What beautiful colors!

Time Machine8

Enjoy the game, Ed!
